What is Soft Washing?
Soft Washing is a high-performance, low-impact cleaning technique that utilizes specialized blends of eco-friendly chemicals which are applied to soiled surfaces. These chemicals attack the mildew, bacteria, algae, fungus, moss, and other microbial elements that leave the surfaces of your home or business dull and dirty in appearance. Once the chemicals have done their job, a low-pressure rinse washes away all unwanted dirt and grime. The end result is a sparkling clean home or business exterior with an increased curb appeal.
Why Soft Wash?
Traditional pressure washing is used to tackle dirt and grime on durable surfaces such as brick and concrete. However, all too often, high pressure washing causes unwanted damage to surfaces like Wood, Vinyl, Painted/Stained Surfaces, Stucco, Windows/Window Screens, and Asphalt Shingles. For this reason, Soft Washing is the recommended technique.
What Chemicals Are Used in Soft Washing?
Sodium Hypochlorite (Specialized Bleach)
This specially formulated chemical kills mold and mildew spores, algae, moss and any other plants or fungi growing on the exterior surfaces of your home of business. It also gets into cracks and crevices of concrete surfaces and kills off any root systems in order to prevent further damage and/or growth.
Cleaning Surfactant
This detergent-based agent aids in the cleaning process by loosening, trapping and carrying away dirt and other substances from the soiled surface. The specialized nature of the surfactant allows it to get between the surface and the substances clinging to them and push them apart. It then sticks to the unwanted matter and lifts it away in a process called roll-up. This process greatly improves the water’s ability to wash away unwanted muck. In addition, the surfactant will help prevent excessive run-off so the solution will stay on the surface longer for greater effectiveness.
Water
Water us used to dilute the specialized bleach to the proper ratio needed to effectively and safely clean the soiled areas around your home or business.
